Food in Nicaragua: 10 Photos

On our four-day jaunt to Nicaragua, we declared gastronomic war upon Managua, Granada, and Catarina. Sadly, it wasn’t even close, as food emerged victorious again.

Look closely. You should see a corn tortilla in her left hand, sheathed by a plastic bag. She is making a quesillo, which includes Nicaraguan cheese (white, soft, and chewy), sour cream, salt, and finely-chopped onions pickled in vinegar.
